DIANNA KAE
- Lead Vocals

Dianna's first experience on stage was at the age of 4, performing in her first dance recital. Her parents have called the stage her "second home" because she just loves being on it! When she was 10 yrs. old, after seeing the stage play "Annie", and driving her family crazy with repeated playing and performing the songs, she decided to perform a song and dance for her school's talent show and has been singing ever since!

Dianna has performed many different genres of music including Opera, Jazz, Top 40, and her favorite... Country. When asked why Country music is her favorite she says, "Because the songs really tell a story that I can feel". Just listening to her singing these songs, you can tell that she really does feel them-they come from her heart.

Aside from performing with "Five Dollar Fine", Dianna also enjoys singing for weddings and other special events. She has been asked on several occasions to sing the National Anthem for major sporting events, and has graciously sung the Anthem at a WWII reunion event honoring some local military veterans.

Most of Dianna's personal time is spent with her husband David and their two children, Alexa and Jakob. She is expanding her musical skills by learning to play keyboards and guitar, and would someday like to learn how to play the banjo. She's carrying on a hobby "tradition" her grandmother started, creating ceramics; and loves riding motorcycles with David. Her family is her world, and singing to them and the world just fulfills her heart....

TONY HAUENSTEIN - Keyboard/Guitar/Vocals

At the age of two that Anthony (Tony) began to show an appreciation for music. His little white plastic guitar was carried around the room during the family's many jam sessions. It was his Grandmother who noticed that by the age of four the songs they had played together were actually recognizable as he sat alone on the organ bench playing the single note melodies by ear, one finger at a time. He was immediately enrolled in private lessons studying classical piano theory and technique. At his early recitals, he would sit down and play Mozart, Hayden and Chopin, with his feet resting comfortably below on a wooden box built by his father.

With the ability to play a variety of different instruments, Tony's exposure to the music scene provides for a well-rounded background. Some of his experiences include performing classical piano recitals and auditions at several colleges including PLU, UPS and Eastern Washington University. In addition, he has played trumpet in several competition concert bands and bass guitar for jazz bands to the sounds of Duke Ellington. His other endeavors have lead him to strumming banjo with Dixieland bands around the state, to playing guitar, keyboards and drums with various different rock-n-roll bands through out his high school and college years.

Tony's talents as a bass guitar and keyboard player have allowed him various opportunities traveling all over the state playing fairs and festivals. These opportunities have included opening for such national acts as Merle Haggard, The Charlie Daniel's Band, Asleep At The Wheel, Big House, Jo Dee Messina, Black Hawk, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jr. Brown, Eric Heatherly, The Tractors, Gary Allen, Hal Ketchum, Lila McCan and Pat Green.
In addition to the commitment of his music and busy work schedule, Tony spends the majority of his time with his wife Heather, and daughters Sarah, Emily. Aside from his busy schedule, you will find Tony outdoors. He enjoys fishing, hunting and keeping up on what his wife considers, "Entirely too much yard work."

ED HESS - Bass Guitar

Ed Hess fell in love with music as a youngster growing up in Detroit Michigan while listening to Motown and rock & roll during the 60’s and 70’s.  At the age of 10, with the help of his mother he purchased an acoustic guitar and dabbled during a summer, learning a few popular tunes on the radio.  He soon chose other interests as many young kids do and stopped playing until the age of 14.  He then bought an electric guitar, taught himself how to play and performed in a few neighborhood bands until the age of 17.  Ed switched to bass guitar and continued to play rock until he joined a local oldies / do wop group known as the Larados.  They became very popular as the Motor City’s number 1 oldies band and performed as the opening act for such notable artists as Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, The Drifters and many more.  Ed played with his oldies group until he moved to Seattle in 1990.  Since then, he has performed in local bands playing rock, blues, funk  and country.  Ed joined Five Dollar Fine in January 2004 and is having a blast. "This is a great group of folks who really enjoy playing."
